Our History
SS Graphics started out in 1964 as ‘The Sign Store’. Our founder H.E. Eckles decided to start up his own sign company after building up 15 years of industry knowledge selling signs for a large Fortune-200 company.
From humble beginnings, producing signs in his garage with a small vacuum-forming machine, he started to grow the business by manufacturing and installing his own signs for large retail companies all over the USA.
How We Diversified
As the business grew, other family members came on board so that the Sign Store was able to create innovative signs and graphic solutions for businesses. H.E. Eckles’ son-in-law Richard Johnson Sr took over in 1975 and started to diversify into channel letter and builder signs.
As each generation of the family has entered the business, the company has continued to innovate and became ‘SSGraphics’ in 2010 to reflect the diverse services that the team can offer.
Today, under the leadership of Richard Johnson Jr, SS Graphics is still a family run business that specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of design banners, decals, window graphics, vehicle wraps, and graphics for businesses of all shapes and sizes.
